SPAR Group (NASDAQ: SGRP), a leading supplier of retail merchandising and other marketing services throughout the United States and internationally, today announced that the company's South African subsidiary, SGRP Meridian, has signed a $3.5 million annual contract with a multi-national consumer goods company. SPAR will provide in-store merchandising, demonstrations and auditing of their products throughout South Africa. "SPAR Group is extremely pleased to announce our newest international contract award in South Africa, that will establish us as a national service provider throughout one of our fastest growing international subsidiaries," said Gary Raymond, Chief Executive Officer of SPAR Group Inc. "The contract will expand our geographic footprint from the coast lines of the country to include the inland regions which makes the subsidiary a significant national operation. This $3.5 million contract combined with our recent announcements of an additional $7 million in Mexico is expected to improve earnings in our international division." In addition to this client, SGRP Meridian provides in-store merchandising and demonstrative services to numerous global and regional clients.
