(NYSE: CF) today reported that its Donaldsonville,Louisiana nitrogen complex has undertaken an orderly shutdown at the facilityin advance of Tropical Storm Isaac which is anticipated to impact theDonaldsonville area beginning in the next 12 to 24 hours. The Donaldsonvillefacility is located on the Mississippi River between New Orleans and BatonRouge.“Our immediate concern is the safety and welfare of our employees andneighbors who may be impacted by the storm,” said Tony Will, senior vicepresident, manufacturing and distribution, CF Industries Holdings, Inc. “Weare taking the plant down as a precautionary measure as part of routinehurricane procedures. We are in contact with our customers and will let themknow when we expect to resume production and deliveries from the facility.”
