Olympus (OTC: OCPNY) posted a wider net loss for the fiscal first quarter. Olympus posted a quarterly net loss of 4.46 billion yen ($56.82 million), versus a year-ago loss of Y1.42 billion.Its operating profit dropped 59.6% to Y2.12 billion from Y5.24 billion, while revenue declined 4.5% to Y189.54 billion from Y198.57 billion.Olympus shares closed at $18.59 yesterday.
