FBR & Co. (Nasdaq: FBRC) today announced that it has commenced a modified "Dutch auction" tender offer to purchase up to four million shares, or about 7%, of its outstanding common stock, at a price of not less than $2.75 and not more than $3.00 per share. The tender offer will expire at 12:00 midnight, New York City time, on June 6, 2012, unless extended.
