Lafarge SA (OTC: LFRGY) reported a 5% rise in its sales. Lafarge's sales climbed to EUR3.35 billion. Its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization climbed 8% to EUR516 million. Its net loss widened to EUR44 million, versus EUR29 million in the first quarter 2011.Lafarge shares closed at $9.84 yesterday.
