Strength in Latin America lifted Monsanto (MON) above analyst estimates three months ago. Surging U.S. corn and other crop plantings might have helped in the second quarter. On Wednesday the seed giant will post Q2 results. Consensus estimates call for earnings of $2.12 a share, up from $1.87 a year ago. Analysts forecast revenue climbing 9.7% to $4.53 billion.
