Ares Capital Corporation (Nasdaq: ARCC) announced that it plans to make aprivate offering of $150 million aggregate principal amount of its ConvertibleSenior Notes due 2017. Ares Capital also plans to grant the initial purchasersan option to purchase up to an additional $22.5 million principal amount ofthe Convertible Senior Notes to cover overallotments, if any. The ConvertibleSenior Notes will be offered only to qualified institutional buyers (asdefined in the Securities Act of 1933, as amendedpursuant to Rule 144A under the Securities Act.
