CSL Ltd (OTC: CMXHY) posted a 3.4% drop in its first-half net profit.CSL's net profit for the period declined to 483 million Australian dollars (US$515 million), versus A$500.2 million, in the year-ago period. However, analysts were expecting a net profit of A$482.0 million. On a constant currency basis, its net profit surged 16%. CSL's revenue climbed to A$2.31 billion from A$2.17 billion. CSL announced its plans to pay an interim dividend of 36 Australian cents per share.CSL shares closed at $16.50 yesterday.
