FLSmidth & Co A/S (OTC: FLIDY) posted a stronger-than expected fourth-quarter net profit. FLSmidth projects its revenue to climb to DKK24 billion-DKK26 billion in 2012.FLSmidth's quarterly net profit rose to DKK567 million ($100.9 million), from DKK329 million, in the year-ago quarter, versus analysts' estimates of DKK509 million. FLSmidth's sales surged 32% y/y to DKK7.29 billion versus DKK5.52 billion. However, analysts were estimating sales of DKK6.94 billion. Its EBIT rose to DKK870 million from DKK536 million.FLSmidth shares closed at $7.74 on Friday.
