Telstra Corp (OTC: TLSYY) reported a 23% rise in its first-half profit.Telstra's net profit for the period surged to A$1.47 billion (US$1.59 billion), from A$1.19 billion, in the year-ago period. However, analysts were projecting net profit of A$1.48 billion.Telstra's domestic mobile revenue gained 11% to A$4.39 billion, while fixed-line voice revenues dropped 9% to A$2.49 billion.TLSYY shares closed at $18.42 yesterday.
