The Marcus Corporation (NYSE: MCS) reported a rise in its second quarter earnings.Marcus' quarterly operating income climbed 15.8% to $6,261,000, from $5,406,000, in the year-ago period. Its net earnings surged 35.5% to $2,824,000, from $2,084,000. Marcus' earnings per share came in at $0.10, up from $0.07. Its total revenue climbed 3.8% to $90,069,000, from $86,735,000 in the year-ago quarter. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.09 per share on revenue of $92.95 million.Marcus' shares gained 1.10% to clsoe at $12.00 yesterday.
