IP Navigation Group, LLC (IPNav) has named Peter J. Hardigan as Vice President. Mr. Hardigan was previously a Principal in the Intellectual Property (IP) Practice of Charles River Associates in New York, where he ran the firm's IP Transactions business in North America and Europe. At CRA, Mr. Hardigan acted as an IP fund manager and IP Investment advisor to Fortune 500 companies and leading institutional investors. At IPNav, Mr. Hardigan will act as a portfolio manager and also lead initiatives to expand the firm's finance and advisory services offerings.
“Peter's deep expertise in licensing, IP finance, and fund management makes him an ideal partner to help build our business. Peter will be working closely with me on IPNav's European initiatives and will be our primary conduit with the investment community,” said Erich Spangenberg, IPNav Chairman. “We are very pleased to have him working with us.”
Mr. Hardigan joined Charles River Associates in 2007 and was employed as a licensing officer at Columbia Technology Ventures (CTV), where he worked while attending Columbia Business School. At CTV, Peter was responsible for evaluation, commercial development, and licensing of early stage life sciences innovations. Prior to CTV, Mr. Hardigan was a strategy consultant at Mainspring and IBM Business Consulting Services (following IBM's acquisition of Mainspring) where he advised Fortune 500 life sciences, financial services, and consumer goods firms, with a particular focus on portfolio strategy and business development. Peter holds an MBA from Columbia University and a B.A. from the University of Chicago.
