The metals market is mostly lower today, with the notable exception of gold, which is soaring, after having fallen sharply in the middle of the week. Equities are mixed, after Ben Bernanke's speech at Jackson Hole earlier today. Copper is down 0.8 cents to trade at $4.0710, a loss of 0.2%.Ipath Dow Jones Ubs Copper Total ETF (NYSE: JJC) is down 28 cents to $53.16, a loss of 0.5%.Silver is up 14 cents to $40.88, a gain of 0.34%. Shares of Ishares Silver Trust ETF (NYSE: SLV) are down 30 cents this morning, to trade at $39.70, a loss of almost 0.8%.Gold is up $29.40 an ounce to $1,792.40, a gain of 1.67%.Shares of Spdr Gold Trust ETF (NYSE: GLD) are up $1.06 to $173.42.Platinum is down $3 an ounce, trading at $1,819.40, a loss of 0.16%.The platinum ETF settings First Trust ISE Global Platinum Index (NASDAQ: PLTM) is down 6 cents this morning to trade at $22.89.Palladium is down $1.65 an ounce today, trading at $749.55. Shares of ETFS Physical Palladium Shares (NASDAQ: PALL) are higher today, up 32 cents to $74.36.
