Ford (NYSE: F) CEO Alan Mulally appeared on CNBC just after noon on Tuesday to talk about the company's growth in the current economy. When asked how Ford is dealing with the ongoing economic debt crisis, Mulally said that, “it's weighing on everybody. It's all about confidence and focusing on the economy – expanding the economy. It's about awareness, and I'm sure we'll come up with a solution.”Mulally was then asked if Ford has a contingency plan, to which he replied, “We've been there, haven't we.”Pressed further, he was asked if he has one but doesn't want to talk about it. Mulally said that, “we have a game plan. Liquidity is so important. We're continuing to improve the balance sheet and our goal is to have $10 billion on there. Then we can reinstate the dividend and share with the shareholders.”
