CommandCentral Aware will bring the power of Avigilon advanced video and AI-based analytics to first responders

CHICAGO, Aug. 6, 2018 /PRNewswire/ - Motorola Solutions (NYSE:MSI) is integrating Avigilon Control Center™ (ACC) video management software into CommandCentral Aware. This will provide an unparalleled solution for the rapidly evolving needs of public safety.

CommandCentral Aware is part of Motorola Solutions' end-to-end suite of command center software that works together to seamlessly improve operations from the time a 9-1-1 call is placed to after an incident is resolved. With the integration of ACC, dispatchers and intelligence analysts will have one source for real-time intelligence that includes video feeds, incident details, alerts, data mapping and responder location.

"We have completed the first major step of this integration which brings Avigilon video feeds into CommandCentral Aware. Analysts now have the ability to see ACC video in this one central source," said Andrew Sinclair, general manager and corporate vice president, Software Enterprise, Motorola Solutions. "We are also integrating ACC's artificial intelligence (AI)-based analytics. This will transform video surveillance from reactive monitoring to automated proactive alerts when a person, object or vehicle of interest is detected."

With ACC's AI-based analytics, intelligence analysts using CommandCentral Aware will be automatically alerted when unusual activities are detected. Less time will be spent monitoring video and more time will be available to help first responders in the field.

Motorola Solutions acquired Avigilon in March 2018. Avigilon, a Motorola Solutions company, designs, develops and manufactures advanced security surveillance solutions, including video analytics, network video management software and hardware, surveillance cameras, and access control solutions.
