MEADVILLE, Pa., July 23, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- "Brushstrokes of Life: An Autobiography": a telling portrait of an accomplished painter's eventful life. "Brushstrokes of Life: An Autobiography" is the creation of published author Myrtle-Anne Rempel, an internationally renowned artist who graduated from University of the Fraser Valley with honors in painting and printmaking, and who has also done work as an interior designer at one point during her long and distinguished artistic career.

Rempel shares how her art education formed over the years: "I loved working with my hands, but hated the casting of the sculptures, so I concentrated on art history and painting. I also did some courses on psychology and did a minor in accounting, which came so easily to me. Probably from all the years I did bookkeeping.

I graduated in 1986 with a major in painting (hon.) and a minor in accounting.

The university didn't offer a BFA at that time, or I would have continued, but even though I didn't need it, I continued doing more courses to get as much information as I could. I have always said that I have a 'thirst for learning.' I love to learn about new things. The Jakabows were very influential in my art career. I also studied with many other artists those years.

During the four years, that I was studying, I took two years of printmaking, which included lithography, and silkscreen. I also took art history, which became one of the most important courses that I have ever taken."

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Myrtle-Anne Rempel's new book is a tender and thoroughly authentic memoir that draws inspiration from all of the author's significant loved ones, teachers, and events of the author's life. Deftly navigating both the soaring highs and the definitive lows, ultimately, Rempel paints the big-picture insight of how God works each life into a masterpiece if one surrenders.

Rempel's story stands on its own for both those are new to her work and those who have admired her visual work for years and can now learn more about the woman behind the canvas.
