Hersha Hospitality Trust (NYSE: HT), owner of select service and upscale hotels in major metropolitan markets, today announced that its Board of Trustees declared a cash dividend of $0.50 per Series A Preferred Share forthe second quarter ending June 30, 2011. The preferred share dividend is payable July 15, 2011 to holders of record as of July 1, 2011.In addition, the Board of Trustees declared a cash dividend of $0.2389 per Series B Preferred Share for the second quarter ending June 30, 2011. The preferred share dividend is payable July 15, 2011 to holders of record as ofJuly 1, 2011. This represents a quarterly dividend payout of $0.50 per share, adjusted on a pro-forma basis due to the timing of the closing of the Company's public offering of the Series B shares on May 18, 2011.
