DCT Industrial Trust® (NYSE:DCT), a leading real estate company, today announced the appointment of Marcus L. Smith to its Board of Directors, effective October 30, 2017. He will also serve on the Nominating and Corporate Governance and Audit Committees.

Mr. Smith was the portfolio manager of the MFS Institutional International Equity Fund from 2001 until his retirement in April 2017. He also managed the International Concentrated Portfolio from 2007 until his retirement and held a variety of other leadership roles during his career at MFS. Mr. Smith received an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. degree from the University of Mount Union where he now serves as a Trustee.
