5 Companies That Boost Hiring For The Holidays
The job market might not be great, but there are several retailers that could provide you with a temporary gig this holiday season.
Both physical retailers and delivery services are hiring right now or will be soon to meet demand before Christmas.

For those of you who are keeping score, the retailer said that estimate is 10 percent higher than the number of temporary workers it hired last Christmas.
It’s all part of the company’s goal to keep up with online shopping, which continue to be an important market as consumers shift their shopping habits toward the Web.
Then the bad news: This is the same number of employees that Target hired in 2013. This could indicate a higher level of efficiency among Target employees versus other retailers. It may also suggest that the company isn’t growing as fast as its big-box competitors.
Kohl’s Corporation (NYSE: KSS) plans to increase holiday hiring by 15 percent this year.
The company did not reveal exactly how many temporary workers were hired in 2013, but the retailer told ABC News that the number was more than 50,000.
This year the company will hire 67,000 seasonal workers.
