WLT), which is a metallurgical coal producer, is up 5.4% to $88.31, a gain of $4.50.
Walter Energy, Inc. produces and exports metallurgical coal for the steel industry primarily in the United States.
Alpha Natural Resources, Inc. (NYSE:
ANR) is up almost 6% today to $46.71, a gain of $2.62.
ANR is another metallurgical coal producer, and this kind of coal is used primarily in steel-making.
Massey Energy Company (NYSE:
MEE) is up again today, gaining almost 7% to $39.92, a gain of $2.57. Yesterday, Massey announced it was looking for "strategic alternatives."
Massey Energy Company produces, processes, and sells bituminous coal primarily in the United States.
