The broader markets have been slightly positive today, save for a few stronger issues.
On the NYSE, these three particular stocks have been the strongest performers for companies that have traded over 100,000 shares.
Shares of Quicksilver Resources Inc. (NYSE:
KWK) are up 15% to $14.50, after a few major investors in the company said this morning they are looking for "strategic alternatives" for the company.
Quicksilver is a natural gas development company whose operations are based onshore in North America.
Shares of Molycorp, Inc (NYSE:
MCP) are gaining $3.30 to $31.55, a gain of 11.7%.
China earlier said that the supplies of rare earth metals, which MCP mines, is in severe shortage.
Molycorp on the production and sale of rare earth oxides in the western hemisphere.
Nautilus, Inc. (NYSE:
NLS) is gaining 7% this afternoon to $1.52, on three times its daily volume.
Nautilus Inc. is a fitness products company primarily in the United States and Canada.
