Bloomberg article, shares of LinkedIn are going for over $30 per share on SharesPost, which values the company at almost $3 billion.
LinkedIn is set to be the first major social networking site to go public this year, as it's hired Morgan Stanley (NYSE:
MS) and J.P. Morgan (NYSE:
JPM) to be its bankers.
LinkedIn has 97.1 million shares outstanding, and given the $30 price, the company is valued at $2.91 billion.
LinkedIn, which is based in Mountain View, California, is a social networking site that allows its users to search for jobs, recruit employees and find industry experts.
