In what appears to be a first for professional sports, Brooklyn Nets fans can now pay for concessions at the Barclays Center with their smartphones.
Through a partnership with
American Express, (NYSE:
AXP) fans attending a Brooklyn Nets home game can now pay for their hot dogs and other concessions through Brooklyn eWallet, a new feature which is embedded inside the official Brooklyn Nets app.
Users can store up to ten debit or credit cards on the app. To pay for a purchase, the user simply taps the “make a purchase” option inside the eWallet and scan a QR code generated at the cash.
