Slideshow: Apple's 2014 Rumored Lineup

The year may be over, but Apple's (NASDAQ: AAPL) biggest products could be around the corner.

In 2014, Apple is rumored to release a wide variety of new devices, ranging from a larger iPad and larger iPhone to a revised version of Apple TV and a new kind of MacBook Air.

Surely there will be additional upgrades to the MacBook Pro, iPhone 5S, iMac and iPad Air. But those are a given for almost any year.

For the purpose of this slideshow, Benzinga will focus on the rumored products that are entirely new, as well as products that promise to deliver radical changes to the existing portfolio.

    Apple’s First TV

    Apple’s First TV

The illusive television set continues to draw attention from bloggers and analysts alike, but not as much as it did in 2011 and 2012.

As of this writing, some bloggers are still holding out hope for a 2014 release date.

Others caution that the TV is more likely to arrive in 2015 or 2016.

    12-Inch iPad

    12-Inch iPad

Does the world need a larger iPad?

More importantly, do consumers want a larger iPad?

The rumor mill seems to think so, indicating that a 12-inch iPad will be released in 2014.

The device is currently rumored for a Q1 or Q2 release, but don't be surprised if Apple saves it for November 2014 (to coincide with the iPad Mini 3 and iPad Air 2).

    Apple TV (Set-Top Box) Upgrade

    Apple TV (Set-Top Box) Upgrade

On his personal website, TechCrunch columnist and Google Ventures partner MG Siegler posted some interesting information.

His sources claim that Apple is working on “some sort of newfangled control system” for a future iteration of Apple TV.

It is not yet known if those features will make it into the 2014 edition.

    iPhone XL

    iPhone XL

Analysts and investors alike are convinced that Apple will release a large iPhone in 2014.

The five- or six-inch device is rumored to ship in the second quarter. That seems unlikely, but it could arrive alongside the iPhone 6 in September.

In fact, Apple's large iPhone might turn out to be the iPhone 6. The iPhone 5S could then receive the 5C treatment (plastic body, cheaper components, etc.).

Which phone would then become the cheapest available?

Since everyone is clamoring for a low-cost iPhone, it is wholly possible that Apple would reduce the iPhone 4S to $199 (without a contract).

That may not silence critics who were hoping for a new, inexpensive iPhone, but it could appease cost-conscious consumers.

12-Inch MacBook Air with Retina Display

12-Inch MacBook Air with Retina Display

Now that the standard MacBook Pros are being eliminated, consumers and investors alike are wondering when the MacBook Air will receive its first Retina Display.

According to the International Business Times, KGI Securities analyst Ming Chi-Kuo thinks that the next MacBook Air will introduce the A8 chip.

He also expects it to have a 12-inch display (instead of an 11- or 13-inch display) with 2,304 x 1,440 pixels.
