The lines may be gone, but the crowds remain at Apple (NASDAQ:
AAPL) stores for the iPhone 5. On Saturday, the company's store at the Roosevelt Field Shopping Mall in Garden City, New York was filled with shoppers who were unable or unwilling to deal with the long lines for the phone's Friday launch.
All but the 32GB model was sold out by Saturday and an associate at the store said he was not certain when the other models would again be available. The Apple store web site is now reporting a 3 to 4 week wait for shipments from the 3 major carriers.
