) acquisition of an “online grassroots platform” called Localocracy, whose “key execs” will reportedly join the AOL content unit. According to AllThingsD's source, the company was acquired for under $1 million. Further, the Huffington Post is hiring Lisa Belkin away from the New York Times. She'll join the Huffington Post as a senior columnist, where she'll cover parenting and family issues.
