Apple to Ship iPhone 5 in September (AAPL)

fifth iteration of the iPhone, the iPhone 5, is expected to ship in September, sources with direct knowledge of the matter said. Apple's wildly popular phone is typically released with a new version in June, but supply chain issues and a new release schedule have been attributed to the September date. Three people with direct knowledge of the company's supply chain withheld their names for professional considerations. The iPhone 5 isn't expected to deviate in design and outward appearance, but upgrades in cameras and "under-the-hood" gear are commonly expected. Shares of Apple are higher by more than 1.4%, or $4.93, in Wednesday pre-market trade, to $342.79.
