Brown-Forman Corp (NYSE: BF-B) (NYSE: BF-A) reported its Q3 net income at $140.7 million, or $0.96 per share, compared with $107.9 million, or $0.73 per share, in the year-earlier period. The company's revenue increased 12% to $962.4 million. However, analysts had been expecting earnings of $0.86 per share on revenue of $876.96 million. Brown-Forman projects 2011 earnings of $3.35 to $3.45 per share, versus the analysts' estimates of $3.31 per share.
Shares of McDonald's Corp (NYSE: MCD) fell about 0.7% after the company reported 3.9% rise in its comparable sales at restaurants in operation at least 13 months in February. However, analysts were expecting a 3.1% rise in its February sales.
