The metals market is mixed today, with the metals market not doing much ahead of the FOMC meeting later today. Equities are higher, with the NASDAQ being the strongest of the three indexes.
Copper is up 1.3 cents to trade at $3.7390, a gain of just below 0.4%.
Ipath Dow Jones Ubs Copper Total ETF (NYSE:
JJC) is up 50 cents to $48.56, a gain of just over 1%.
Silver is up 3 cents to $40.17, a negligible move ahead of the FOMC meeting.
Shares of Ishares Silver Trust ETF (NYSE:
SLV) are up 23 cents to $39.06, a gain of just over 0.5%.
Gold is down $14.90 an ounce to $1,794.20, as it breaks below $1,800 an ounce again.
Shares of Spdr Gold Trust ETF (NYSE:
GLD) are down $1.18 to $174.60.
Platinum is down $5.90 an ounce, trading at $1,776, a loss of 0.33%.
The platinum ETF settings First Trust ISE Global Platinum Index (NASDAQ:
PLTM) is down 12 cents this morning to trade at $21.69.
Palladium is down 50 cents an ounce to $717.25, a negligible move.
Shares of ETFS Physical Palladium Shares (NASDAQ:
PALL) are lower today, down 3 cents to $70.73.
