DOW 10,000 Could Be Hit Today

With the markets set to rally this morning, DOW 10,000 might be broken either today or in the very near future.

The DOW closed yesterday at 9,871 and is poised to open about 100 points above that level this morning.

This milestone was first crossed in March of 1999, then after the tech bubble of 2000, the index did not cross 10,000 again until December of 2003.

With last years stock market crash the DOW got as low as 6,500 in March of this year, but now 7 months and 53% later it is ready to cross it again!

Many technicians are looking for a close above 10,000 and not just a temporary breach. Either way let's hope in 2013 were not having this same discussion again.
