General Mills, Inc. GIS shares are trading higher by $1.58 (2.7 percent) at $57.10 in Wednesday's session.
The catalyst for the rally is Q4 EPS beat of 2 cents along with a $60 million sales beat. At this this time, the Street is giving the company a free pass on its lower FY 2018 guidance.
After a higher open, General Mills continued in that direction and peaked in the first minute of the session at $57.79 and reversed course. It came all the way down to $56.55 before climbing back into the $57.00 handle.
In order to fill the void in price and reach the upper-end of Tuesday's range, the stock would need to fall to $56.55.
