Sirius XM Holdings Inc. SIRI shares are trading higher by $0.15 (3 percent) at $4.89 in Wednesday's session. Investors are following the lead of the legendary Warren Buffett of Berkshire Hathaway, who showed a new stake in the issue in his recent 13F filing.

After a higher open, the issue retreated but found support just above Tuesday's close ($4.74) at $4.76 and resumed its move higher. It's now trading just off its high for the session, which currently stands at $4.90.

Sirius XM hasn't traded in the $5.00 handle since February 2006, when it peaked at $5.52. From October 2008 through through July 2009, the issue could have been purchased for nearly the price of a silver dollar. The trading range from that time frame was from a penny to $0.64.
