Crude Oil Sheds 40% In 2015

February Crude Oil futures are flat at $36.60 per barrel in Thursday's session. Based on the rolling front month contact, Crude Oil has declined roughly 40 percent since ending 2014 at $63.18.

Going back a few months early to the end of September 2014, when the front month contract settled at $100.67, the contract has declined 64 percent.

The low for the February contract was made on December 21 at $35.35. The contract has not closed over $40 since December 4, when it ended the session at $41.20.
