3M Rallies Off Q3 EPS Beat On Lower Sales

shares are trading sharply higher $6.11 at $155.93 in Thursday's session. The Street is focusing on the the nickel beat for EPS as opposed to $150M miss for sales. After a higher open, it retreated to $150.65 before exploding to $157.04 and pulling back to the $156 area. The current high coincides with its July 21 high ($157.18) and just shy of the pair of highs from July 17 ($157.37) and July 20 ($157.65).
