It invests in both domestic and foreign companies which the Fidelity Management & Research Company (FMR) believes have higher than average growth potential. It applies fundamental analysis including issuer's financial and economic conditions to select investments. The fund has returned 3.6% over the last one year.

The fund manager is Patrick Venanzi and has managed this fund since 2011.

BlackRock Small Cap Growth Equity Investor A (CSGEX) seeks long term capital growth. It invests a major portion of its assets in small cap equity securities located in the U.S. The market capitalizations of these companies are identical to the size of the companies listed in the Russell 2000 Index or S&P SmallCap 600 Index. The fund has returned 1.8% over the last one year.

The fund carries an annual expense ratio of 1.15% as compared to category average of 1.38%.

Federated Kaufmann Small Cap A (FKASX) invests a lion's share of its assets in small-cap companies listed on the national stock exchanges, the NASDAQ stock market and over-the-counter market. It may invest a maximum of 30% of its assets in foreign securities. It may also invest in fixed-income securities, exchange-traded funds, American Depositary Receipts and derivative instruments. The fund also invests a maximum of 25% of its assets in foreign securities. The fund has returned 7.7% over the last one year.

The fund carries an annual expense ratio of 1.21% as compared to category average of 1.38%.

AlphaMark Small Cap Growth (AMSCX) invests a major portion of its assets in domestic small-cap companies. The market capitalizations of these companies are between $150 million and $2 billion at the time of purchase. The non-diversified fund has returned 1.7% over the last one year.

The fund manager is Michael L. Simon and has managed this fund since 2008.
