Corn Rising On Drought Concerns

There are some very significant transits that could be a warning of more severe drought conditions that could seriously effect the corn crops and bring much higher prices.  In my April 29th update I illustrated the rare phenomenon of Venus crossing the Northern hemisphere of the Sun.  This type of occurrence, called a Venus Occultation of the Sun, occurs usually every 130 or 113 years, and in the sign of Gemini the occurrence is about every 243 years.  The Occultation on June 6, 2012 in the sign of Gemini (Gemini rules the air and the environment) could bring further dry hot conditions on the Earth that are activated by the combination of the solar winds and the passage of Venus.

On July XX Jupiter will make a rare conjunction to Ceres (rules corn) and the U.S. Uranus (in the 6th house of farming) in the sign of Gemini which could bring sudden shocking news about a potentially worsening drought. This day is a critical day for the Midwest crops if there is no rain by then.

Neptune, the planet that could bring the rain is now moving retrograde and will most likely not bring the much need cycles of rain until the Spring of 2013.  We could see a pullback next week and will be watching the technicals along with the astrology to determine if our criteria for a long position is being met.

Update on technicals: the corn chart ended up rallying all this week, pushing it further into an overbought state, however the strength we've seen in this chart further convinces me that this is an area worth considering a long position in the next week or two. We will send a trade alert to subscribers when the setup is ready.  ~jeff
