Stocks Watchlist For Friday, March 09

The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc.BONT was the stock of the day for me. It opened at 6.95 and went as high as 8.59 at one point, and closed at 8.26, up 1.26, or 18%, on 2.19 million shares. That's the second heaviest volume this year. We all know that the stock is way overbought in the short term with RSI number near 90 but the rising MACD and ADX signal additional upside. Today's high was $8.59, which is resistance for the follow through move on Friday. If the stock does break resistance, expect to see another strong upside move. Next major resistance lies at $9. Folks, always keep a trailing stop loss to book profits in case to exit any reversal in the trend.

Apple Inc.AAPL continues to impress, despite the two-day pullback this week. Technically, the stock looks ready to test the highs. Stay Long.

Rubicon Technology, Inc.RBCN had a big reversal day, going from about 8.4 up to 8.94, closing at 8.91, up 44 cents for the day. The declining 13 sma at 9.7 will be tested shortly, and if it can take that out, it could lead to a quick move to 10 short-term.

Lowe's Companies, Inc.LOW broke out to a new all-time high today, accompained by a strong volume suggesting higher levels. The technical daily chart still showing a bullish bias. KD line shows positive signs as %K line is rising on top over %D line and RSI continue moving up. I suspect the stock may continue to appreciate over the coming days.

Citrix Systems, Inc.CTXS showed buying strength all day on Thursday. The stock is on the verge of breaking out and it could happen Friday or Monday. The volume dramatically increased as the stock ran to near the old highs, showing me there are buyers watching the stock. Once the stock breaks $78, jump in and watch CTXS take off.
