Five Swing Trade Setups to Watch

Starbucks Corporation SBUX broke out to all time highs accompained by a decent volume suggesting higher levels. This is generally a hot buy from a technical perspective. The stock hit a high of $49.52 which is now resistance for Thursday's follow through move. The technical indicators are looking mixed, with only the RSI bouncing sharply off the 50% level. The MACD is positive and above the signal line but is displaying a negative divergence as it failed to make new highs. All three MA's are moving up and the stock is well above them. As long as the stock stay above the 50-day moving average, the bullish scenario is still intact. Bulls still in control.

Amazon.com, Inc. AMZN stock has been trading around its 50-day moving average in the last trading sessions and the stock appears to have successfully reversed its recent downtrend. Take a look at the technical chart because the stock has some noticeable indicators suggesting that is ready to make a move. Accumulation remains elevated even after the recent downtrend, which indicates there are traders out there who refused to sell their shares on the way down and may have even been adding to their positions. RSI back over 50% level and stochastics are edging out of oversold range as well. In addition I notice that the MACD had a bullish crossover , which gave a buy signal. So put the stock on your radar screen tomorrow !

Rubicon Technology, Inc.RBCN Still liking and holding overnight. The technical Indicator CCI crossed above -100 for the first time since December when the stock traded around 8.50. The combination of slowing momentum, represented by the indicator CCI as well as the major support makes a strong case for a short term bottom.

The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc.BONT Breakout of lateral resistance. Any pullback to support ( 200 day moving average) should be accumulated.

Elan Corporation, plc ELN is holding up nicely above the key support of $12. The technical chart is showing possible buying opportunity as %K line is about to cross on top over %D line. The MACD is pointing up and the histogram is starting to rise, apparently both are indicating that the downtrend is losing momentum. Hold the stock with a stop loss at 11.95
