Tesla Inc TSLA is known for sending free software updates to its vehicles, and a common upgrade for the company's vehicles lately is to its Full Self-Driving (FSD) Beta software.

FSD allows the car to attempt driving from point A to B with no human intervention. Although the car is able to navigate its way down the road, a driver is still required at all times. The latest update is now going out to employees, and the full release notes have been leaked.

The full release notes go into more detail, but the main points of the update appear to be better prediction of pedestrian and VRU (Vulnerable Road User, think pedestrians and cyclists) behavior, lane selection, and even hydroplane mitigation. The car will now be able to use information like the road spray from other vehicles, along with the car's current traction, and warn the user if it needs to slow down in the rain to avoid sliding.

This update is currently rolling out to employees only, and is expected to be rolled out to the public within the coming days. Although just like CEO Elon Musk's timeline estimates, the further rollout of FSD Beta features can be quite unpredictable.
