According to The Wall Street Journal (subscription required), Verizon Wireless will introduce a new $50 per month prepaid plan for its customers later this week. The plan is obviously designed to take on Verizon Wireless competitors like MetroPCS and Virgin Mobile.
The plan will include unlimited text, talk and web for customers who choose to use it. It will be offered at Verizon Wireless, Walmart, Target and Best Buy.
Verizon Wireless currently offers a similar plan for prepaid customers, but it costs $94.99/month.
