Google+ may not be hurting Facebook yet, but that hasn't stopped the social networking giant from copying its most appealing features.
According to the
Associated Press
, Facebook plans to organize users' friends into smaller groups called Smart Lists, which will make it easier to share photos, links, and status updates. Of course, Facebook already offers options for accomplishing this very task; there's even a drop-down box that allows you to instantly select who will see your content. But on Wednesday, Facebook will reportedly auto-group many of your friends “based on whether they live near you, went to your school or work with you,” AP writes. “Then, you can read posts or share updates with specific groups instead of dozens, or hundreds, of ‘friends' at a time.” Users can also create their own groups. This feature (like so many on Facebook) is completely optional.
