Will “change the way users enjoy car radio.”
Livio Radio has been getting a lot of buzz lately for the investments it received from
Angel Street Capital and
Western Technology Investment. But today the Michigan-based manufacturer and developer isn't announcing another round of funding – instead, Livio Radio is promoting the release of its Bluetooth Internet Radio Car Kit for the Apple
AAPL iPod and iPhone.
Described as a plug-and-play gadget “that brings Internet radio and music from your iPod or iPhone to any FM car stereo,” The Kit offers its music features, along with Bluetooth hands-free calling and USB charging, without any monthly fee.
“The Kit will change the way you listen to radio in the car,” said Jake Sigal, founder and CEO of Livio Radio. “Access to radio from around the world and to content on your iPod and iPhone in the car is going to give Internet radio a place in every car stereo.”
The Kit retails for $119.99 and is available now from Amazon.com
AMZN and
Livio Radio's online shop. The Kit is compatible with the iPod touch (2nd, 3rd, and 4th generation), iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G.
