Microsoft's Director of Developer Experience for Windows Phone, Brandon Watson, tweeted out yesterday that developers previously developing for webOS, the now obsolete mobile platform, should switch Windows Phone. Watson stated that Microsoft will give "you what you need to be successful," obviously poking fun at HP. Watson even goes as far as offering free Windows Phones to former webOS developers.

To Any Published WebOS Devs: We'll give you what you need to be successful on #WindowsPhone, incl.free phones, dev tools, and training, etc.

Watson then replied to several tweets and seems to have confirmed his previous offer.

HP announced earlier this week that it has discontinued all webOS-based devices, including the TouchPad tablet computer. As a result, HP has begun its liquidation sale of the TouchPad, reducing prices as much as $350.
