Wedbush Securities analyst Dan Ives sees EV giant Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>) achieving a $2 trillion market cap by 2025-end in a bull case scenario.
What Happened: &#8220;We believe with the autonomous story at Tesla worth $1 trillion alone that in a bull case scenario by the end of 2025, Tesla could achieve a $2 trillion market cap threshold,&#8221; Ives said. &#8220;FSD, autonomous, and the launch of Cybercab for early 2026 are keys for Tesla."
Wedbush currently has a $400 price target on Tesla with an &#8220;outperform&#8221; rating. 
The analyst also said that he believes Musk will play a key role in the U.S.-China tariff negotiations next year. Musk&#8217;s involvement, he said, should enable Apple, Tesla, and Nvidia to &#8220;get carve-outs in this game of high-stakes poker between DC and Beijing.&#8221;
Other Predictions: Ives also made eight other projections for the tech sector in 2025, adding that he expects tech mergers and acquisitions to increase by over 50% in terms of public deal-making given that financial buyers and strategic tech players seem interested in fields including software, cyber security, AI infrastructure, and consumer technology.
He also expects tech stocks to be up by another 25% in 2025 and for Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AAPL#NASDAQ">AAPL</a>), Nvidia Corp. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NVDA#NASDAQ">NVDA</a>), and Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MSFT#NASDAQ">MSFT</a>) to join the exclusive $4 trillion market cap club as the &#8220;AI revolution&#8221; moves into its next gear of growth.
Ives is also optimistic about Palantir Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PLTR#NASDAQ">PLTR</a>), which he deems to be the most <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/24/12/42453057/palantir-positioned-to-become-the-next-oracle-in-2025-says-dan-ives-messi-of-ai-set-for-breakout-year">underappreciated tech name</a>.
&#8220;We believe 2025 will be another breakout year as its flagship AIP (artificial intelligence platform) product transforms AI use cases within enterprises&#8230; with the Messi of AI potentially the next Oracle (Corp),&#8221; he said about Palantir.

For context, Bitcoin's decentralized and trustless structure is powered by cryptography—a practice of coding information to keep it secure and only readable by the intended recipient.

A widely followed X user, going by the pseudonym John Trades MBA, made a sweeping remark on the new chip&#8217;s impact on Bitcoin&#8217;s mining.

However, his claims were quickly fact-checked, with users pointing out that the hashing algorithm used in Bitcoin to verify transactions and public addresses was theorized to be quantum-resistant.
Users also highlighted <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cryptocurrency/24/09/40820546/bitcoin-mining-difficulty-hits-all-time-high-of-92-67-trillion-as-hash-rate-surges#:~:text=Bitcoin%20Mining%20Difficulty%20Hits%20All,As%20Hash%20Rate%20Surges%20%2D%20Benzinga">Bitcoin&#8217;s difficulty adjustment</a> algorithm that ensures that new blocks are mined roughly every 10 minutes, regardless of the number of miners or the amount of computing power they use.
Renowned internet entrepreneur Kevin Rose also decided to allay the fears.&nbsp;
"Estimates indicate that compromising Bitcoin&#8217;s encryption would necessitate a quantum computer with approximately 13 million qubits to achieve decryption within a 24-hour period," Rose explained. "In contrast, Google&#8217;s Willow chip, while a significant advancement, comprises 105 qubits."

SpaceX has rolled out its Starship spacecraft to the launch pad at Starbase for testing ahead of its <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/starship">next flight test</a>, implying an imminent launch.
What Happened: &#8220;Starship ready for testing ahead of Flight 7,&#8221; SpaceX said in a post on social media platform X. The post was adjoined by photographs of the spacecraft on the pad.
The company, however, did not specify when the next flight would be.
Last week, SpaceX rolled out the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/24/12/42376619/spacex-tests-starship-booster-ahead-of-next-flight">booster of the two-stage vehicle</a> to the launch pad for testing.

Starship is currently in the testing and development phase.
The company has conducted six test flights of the vehicle thus far starting in April 2023 but without a payload. The last flight test took place in November.
Why It Matters:&nbsp;The Starship vehicle is part of big dreams. While NASA is looking forward to taking humans back to the surface of the Moon after a gap of over 50 years with the help of a&nbsp;<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/24/11/42108681/spacex-shows-off-conceptual-version-of-starship-which-will-help-humans-land-back-on-moon-in-over-50-yrs" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">custom version of Starship</a>, Musk is dreaming of taking&nbsp;<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/09/40770222/elon-musk-sets-2026-for-starships-first-uncrewed-mars-mission-targeting-successful-landing" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">humans to the planet Mars</a>&nbsp;aboard Starship.
&#8220;…I would not be surprised if we fly 400 Starship launches in the next four years," SpaceX President and COO&nbsp;Gwynne Shotwell&nbsp;<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/space/24/11/42105704/spacex-ceo-elon-musk-reveals-technical-glitch-that-led-company-to-drop-key-objective-of-starships-6th-test-flight" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">said at the Baron Investment Conference</a>&nbsp;in New York last month.
SpaceX is a privately held company. Unlike Musk's publicly held EV company Tesla, SpaceX&nbsp;<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/24/11/42022150/spacex-to-launch-tender-offer-valuing-company-at-over-250-billion-report" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">does not divulge its financials</a>&nbsp;periodically.
"We are going to make some money on Starlink this year. But ultimately I think Starship will be the thing that takes us over the top as one of the most valuable companies," Shotwell previously said.
For the upcoming flight test, SpaceX will attempt to land the Starship spacecraft in the ocean yet again.
&#8220;We will do one more ocean landing of the ship. If that goes well, then SpaceX will attempt to catch the ship with the tower,&#8221; Musk previously said.
Despite SpaceX being private, investors can leverage Destiny Tech100 Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/DXYZ#NYSE">DXYZ</a>) and Cathie Wood‘s Ark Venture Fund (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ARKVX#NASDAQ">ARKVX</a>) to participate in the Musk-led space company's growth.

Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>) has spurred speculation about the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/24/12/42282544/tesla-has-no-plans-to-sell-cybertruck-in-china-report">Cybertruck being introduced in China </a>by reportedly filing with China&#8217;s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) to measure the energy consumption of the stainless steel truck.
What Happened: Tesla received an Automobile Energy Consumption Label on Wednesday, according <a href="https://cnevpost.com/2024/12/11/tesla-completes-energy-consumption-filing-cybertruck-china/">to</a> a report by CnEVPost. The vehicle is classified as an M1 passenger vehicle in MIIT&#8217;s database with a range of 618 kilometers (384 miles.)
The filing has again spurred speculation of the stainless steel truck being sold in the country. However, the Automobile Energy Consumption Label is just one among the many compliance requirements to sell a vehicle mode in China, the report noted.
Tesla started delivering Cybertrucks to customers in the U.S. on Nov. 30, 2023. Since then, the company has also started delivering the vehicle to customers in Canada and Mexico.
The company took the Cybertruck for a spin around China earlier this year as part of a tour but is yet to begin selling it in China. While Tesla's China website lists the Cybertruck among the company's several EV offerings, customers from the country cannot order it.
Why It Matters: Getting approvals for the stainless steel vehicle on roads would be difficult in China, Tesla CEO Elon Musk <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/01/36626369/tesla-ceo-elon-musk-tempers-down-expectations-of-cybertruck-rollout-in-china-could-ship-some-prototy" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">said in January</a>, without explaining why.
The Cybertruck is currently manufactured only at the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/24/12/42262279/a-year-after-teslas-first-cybertruck-deliveries-the-truck-has-a-long-way-to-go-to-meet-musks-goals" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">company's gigafactory in Texas</a>, meaning that if Tesla chooses to sell it in China, it would have to be imported into the country like the company's other pricier EV offerings Model S and Model X.
