Clicking through to the <a href="https://time.com/collection/time100-ai-2024/">list</a> showed that Altman made the cut and wasn't included in the picture, but Musk was nowhere to be found.  
The tweet from Time has over seven million views and hundreds of comments asking where musk is and why he wasn't on the list.
Popular social media user @greg16676935420 had one of the most liked replies.
"Elon Musk must've been #101," a reply said.
The reply has over 11,000 likes, ratioing the 3,400 likes that Time originally received on the post.
The X account @wallstreetbets posted a picture of dogs and captioned the reply with "Time's most influential cats."
Tesla influencer Sawyer Merritt <a href="https://x.com/elonmusk/status/1831778817746334060">criticized</a> Musk being excluded.
"Somehow, Elon Musk is not on the list, despite recently bringing online the most powerful AI training system in the world with xAI, and having the largest self-driving data fleet in the world at Tesla," Merritt tweeted.
Musk responded to Merritt's post with, "Magazines do not establish relevance, history does."
The thought from Musk comes as the billionaire is often quick to criticize media companies and their coverage of him, but in this case took the high road and offered a way to say I'll show them.

Why It's Important: The TIME100 AI list includes many well-known figures like Satya Nadella of Microsoft, Sundar Pichai of Google, Jensen Huang of Nvidia, Mark Zuckerberg of Meta Platforms and Lisa Su of AMD.
It may have been the inclusion of actor Scarlett Johansson on the list that drew the most attention at someone who beat out Musk. The actress lashed out at OpenAI for the usage of what sounded like her voice for ChatGPT after previously being asked to share her voice on a project.
While the moment was significant to the artificial intelligence in the world of deepfakes and concerns of using people's image and likeness without permission through AI, many argued that she isn't as influential on the sector as Musk.
Musk made the Time <a href="https://time.com/collection/time100-ai/">list</a> last year for influential names in AI, but could have missed out due to a focus on selecting new names.
"Ninety-one of the members of the 2024 list were not on last year's an indication of just how quickly the field is changing," Time said.
The magazine said they interviewed members from last year's list to find the best new additions, which could suggest a preference to new names.
When it comes to AI, Musk is one of the most mentioned names. Tesla investors and analysts have argued that the company best known for electric vehicles could be one of the most underrated AI companies.
Ark Invest CEO Cathie Wood <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/penny-stocks/23/08/34102486/exclusive-cathie-wood-tells-benzinga-why-tesla-should-trade-as-a-tech-stock">previously told Benzinga</a> that Tesla should trade like a technology stock and not like an auto stock, due in large part to its place in AI.
"Tesla, because of its positioning with AI, it is the only auto company or tech company that has designed its own chip for autonomous driving," Wood previously said.
Wood said autonomous taxi platforms could be "the biggest AI project in the world."
Wedbush analyst Dan Ives<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-ratings/analyst-color/24/07/39647985/tesla-most-undervalued-ai-play-in-the-market-analyst-says-rubber-meets-the-road-on-"> shares the same commentary </a>on Tesla being an AI company.
"The key for Tesla's stock looking ahead is the Street recognizing that Tesla is the most undervalued AI play in the market in our view with a historical Robotaxi Day ahead for Musk and Tesla," Ives previously said.
Ives said Tesla is more of an AI and robotics lay than a traditional car company.
Along with Musk pushing AI forward at Tesla, the billionaire also<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/23/08/33578667/musks-x-ai-takes-over-ai-com-a-new-chapter-in-the-battle-with-openai-and-the-ai-industry"> launched the xAI company,</a> which is well-known for its Grok chatbot. xAI raised $6 billion earlier this year.

While some might question the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/real-estate/24/02/36924044/these-cities-will-pay-you-to-put-a-tiny-home-in-your-backyard">small house</a>&#8216;s value<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/real-estate/24/02/36924044/these-cities-will-pay-you-to-put-a-tiny-home-in-your-backyard">,</a> listing agent Jenna May of Bluebird Real Estate believes the price is justified.
"The replacement cost to build the home now would be a minimum of $1,000 per square foot, plus it's on 10.33 acres and has deeded water rights," she said. "There is a property on the other side of the road on barely over an acre that went for $890,000. This one is on more than 10 acres, which is rare to find in the community of Irwin."

May describes the property as "magical," noting that it attracts a lot of wildlife, including moose, bears, foxes, beavers, deer and many birds native to the area.
"It's a really intriguing and enticing place to go," she said. "I think the next buyer will be an outdoorsy person for sure. A lot of extreme people have been attracted to it as well."
The mountain retreat could be outfitted with Wi-Fi, although the seller chose not to install it.
"You can be as plugged or unplugged as you like," May said.

Because of its remote location in the Rocky Mountains, access to <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/real-estate/24/06/39249112/florida-man-builds-10-foot-wide-tiny-home-to-spite-neighbors-then-lists-it-for-600-000">the cabin</a> is challenging in the winter.
"They close the road in late October and don't maintain it," May said. "That's why the listing says it has seasonal access. The seller had to snowmobile to and from the property for years because it's a dirt road that's not paved."
The solution? The fully furnished home comes with a Polaris 550 fan-cooled snowmobile for getting around the small town of Irwin in the winter.
"It's only about 20 minutes to downtown Crested Butte," May said. "Irwin is an old mining town with a lot of history. It's a community where people live full-time, and the seller used it as her primary residence, but if someone wanted to use it only in the summer, they could do that as well."
Built in 1942, the two-bedroom cabin blends rustic charm and modern amenities. The owner, who purchased the property in the early 2000s, has made significant updates.
A stone patio is perfect for entertaining guests, and custom metal railings inside and out add a touch of contemporary style.

Solar panels and a propane refrigerator provide essential amenities, while a wood-burning stove and extra wood ensure warmth. The cabin has exposed beams, cathedral ceilings and hardwood floors. Hand-carved wood accents around the windows and doors add character.
"One of the most impressive features is the views that you get from the wraparound deck," May said. "The surrounding environment is very lush and overgrown, but it's really beautiful. It's just a really neat environment up there."
