NORTH CHICAGO, Ill., April 25, 2024 /PRNewswire/ --&nbsp;AbbVie (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ABBV#NYSE">ABBV</a>) today announced positive topline results from LEVEL UP, an open-label, efficacy assessor-blinded head-to-head Phase 3b/4&nbsp;study that evaluated the efficacy and safety of upadacitinib (RINVOQ&#xAE;, 15 mg once daily starting dose and dose-adjusted based on clinical response) versus dupilumab (DUPIXENT&#xAE;, per its labeled dose) in adults and adolescents (≥12 years of age) with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (AD) who had an inadequate response to systemic therapy or when use of those therapies was inadvisable.
"Even while receiving conventional treatments, many patients with atopic dermatitis still continue to live with&nbsp;significant itch&nbsp;and inflammatory skin symptoms that can profoundly impact their everyday lives," said&nbsp;Roopal Thakkar, M.D., senior vice president, chief medical officer, global therapeutics, AbbVie. "Results from this study show that patients with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis can strive for both little to no itch and clearer skin."
In the LEVEL UP study,&nbsp;upadacitinib showed superior efficacy versus dupilumab in the primary endpoint, demonstrating that a significantly higher proportion of patients simultaneously achieved both a 90% or greater reduction in Eczema Area and Severity Index (EASI 90) and a Worst Pruritus Numerical Rating Scale of 0 or 1 (WP-NRS 0/1) at Week 16 [(19.9% vs 8.9% for upadacitinib and dupilumab respectively, p&lt;0.0001)].1
The EASI is a clinically validated measure used to assess the severity and extent of atopic dermatitis, while the WP-NRS is an assessment tool that patients use to report the intensity of their pruritus daily (with 0 being 'no itch' and 10 being the 'worst imaginable itch').
Upadacitinib also showed superiority versus dupilumab for all ranked secondary endpoints, including the rapid onset of achieving near complete skin clearance and no to little itch.&nbsp;For the first two ranked secondary endpoints, the study showed that&nbsp;a significantly higher proportion of patients treated with upadacitinib:

AbbVie plans to present results from the LEVEL UP study at a future medical congress.
The LEVEL UP study is the first head-to-head trial in atopic dermatitis assessing upadacitinib at a starting&nbsp;dose of 15 mg daily versus dupilumab at its labeled dose. Upadacitinib was initiated in adults and adolescents (≥12 years of age, weighing at least 40 kg) at 15 mg once daily (QD) and dose-escalated to 30 mg QD based on clinical response. Dupilumab was initiated at 600 mg, followed by 300 mg every other week (Q2W) in adults and adolescents weighing ≥60 kg; adolescents weighing less than 60 kg received an initial dose of 400 mg, followed by 200 mg Q2W.1
"Too many patients are still not achieving optimal disease control in atopic dermatitis despite taking steps to manage their condition," said&nbsp;Jonathan Silverberg, M.D., Ph.D., MPH, professor of dermatology and director of clinical research at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. "Results from the LEVEL UP study highlight how treatment options such as upadacitinib can achieve high treatment goals in atopic dermatitis with combined measures of EASI 90 and NRS 0/1, not just itch resolution or just skin clearance."
The observed safety profile for upadacitinib in LEVEL UP was consistent with that observed in previous upadacitinib atopic dermatitis clinical studies.1,2 No new safety signals were identified during the study period.1 In Period 1, the most common adverse events&nbsp;(AE) reported were nasopharyngitis&nbsp;for both the upadacitinib and dupilumab group.1 The rate of serious AEs (0.9%) was the same for both upadacitinib and dupilumab. There was one serious infection reported in the dupilumab group and none in the upadacitinib group.1&nbsp;No malignancies, adjudicated major adverse cardiac events, adjudicated venous thromboembolic events (VTEs)&nbsp;or treatment-emergent deaths were reported in either treatment group.1

T-Mobile US, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TMUS#NASDAQ">TMUS</a>) is set to release earnings results for its first quarter, after the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/TMUS/earnings">closing bell on April 25, 2024.</a>
Analysts expect the Bellevue, Washington-based company to report quarterly earnings at $1.87 per share, up from $1.58 per share in the year-ago period. T-Mobile US is projected to post revenue of $19.81 billion (roughly the same as the year-earlier quarter, per data from <a href="https://pro.benzinga.com/dashboard">Benzinga Pro</a>).
T-Mobile recently announced $163 Million in completed network upgrades for Arkansas.
With the recent buzz around T-Mobile US, some investors may be eyeing potential gains from the company's dividends, too. T-Mobile US currently offers an annual dividend yield of 1.58% — a quarterly dividend amount of 65 cents per share ($2.60 a year).
So, how can investors exploit its dividend yield to pocket a regular $500 monthly?
To earn $500 per month or $6,000 annually from dividends alone, you would need an investment of approximately $378,927 or around 2,308 shares. For a more modest $100 per month or $1,200 per year, you would need $75,851 or around 462 shares.

To calculate: Divide the desired annual income ($6,000 or $1,200) by the dividend ($2.60 in this case). So, $6,000 / $2.60 = 2,308 ($500 per month), and $1,200 / $2.60 = 462 shares ($100 per month).
Note that dividend yield can change on a rolling basis, as the dividend payment and the stock price both fluctuate over time.
How that works: The dividend yield is computed by dividing the annual dividend payment by the stock&#8217;s current price.
For example, if a stock pays an annual dividend of $2 and is currently priced at $50, the dividend yield would be 4% ($2/$50). However, if the stock price increases to $60, the dividend yield drops to 3.33% ($2/$60). Conversely, if the stock price falls to $40, the dividend yield rises to 5% ($2/$40).
Similarly, changes in the dividend payment can impact the yield. If a company increases its dividend, the yield will also increase, provided the stock price stays the same. Conversely, if the dividend payment decreases, so will the yield.

The potential solar has as an energy of the future has been widespread, making the solar space one of the fiercest sectors in which to compete. Companies have to take on losses for market share and use billions on research and development, with some companies risking a decline in performance or even going bankrupt. Below are three <a href="https://investorplace.com/industries/energy/renewable-energy/solar/">solar stocks</a> to sell.&nbsp;



<h2>Canadian Solar (CSIQ)</h2>

Canadian Solar (NASDAQ:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/csiq-stock-quote/">CSIQ</a>), a prominent player in the renewable energy sector since 2001, has garnered attention for its global presence with over 110GW in solar module shipments and an extensive 3GWh in battery storage shipments. However, a combination of ESG issues and poor financial metrics make the company an unviable part of investors&rsquo; portfolios. Canadian Solar has drawn scrutiny for its <a href="https://thechinaproject.com/2023/09/14/the-worlds-solar-panel-industry-is-still-powered-by-uyghur-forced-labor/">link to</a> solar farms near Uyghur internment camps, raising serious ethical concerns. The company&rsquo;s reported involvement with polysilicon manufacturer GCL-Poly, a company associated with forced labor in its Xinjiang subsidiary, adds another layer of complexity to the controversy.



Concerns also arise from its relatively high debt levels, with a total debt of $3.3 billion. Its debt-to-equity ratio of .40 <a href="https://www.marketbeat.com/stocks/NASDAQ/CSIQ/">indicates</a> significant leverage, which may pose risks, especially if the market conditions change. Additionally, the <a href="https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/CSIQ/key-statistics">profit margin</a> of 4.48% and return on equity of 16% suggest the company&rsquo;s profitability is average. On the technical side, Canadian Solar presents mixed signals. The price-to-earnings ratio of 9.69 and price-to-sales ratio of 0.38 are relatively stable, indicating a reasonable valuation. However, the price-to-book value ratio is more volatile at 1.11, <a href="https://www.macroaxis.com/financial-statements/CSIQ">signaling</a> potential uncertainty about the company&rsquo;s intrinsic value. These troubling fundamental and technical metrics make Canadian Solar a risky investment.



<h2>Xinyi Solar Holdings (XNYIF)</h2>

Xinyi Solar Holdings (OTCMKTS:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/xnyif-stock-quote/">XNYIF</a>) is a Chinese investment holding firm primarily involved in overseeing and running solar farms through its subsidiary companies. It derives its revenue by <a href="https://www.reuters.com/markets/companies/3868.HK/">selling electricity to subsidiaries</a> of the State Grid. The company manages several solar farms, including Jinzhai Solar Farm, Sanshan Solar Farm, Nanping Solar Farm, Lixin Solar Farm, Binhai Solar Farm, HongAn Solar Farm and Wuwei Solar Farm, with their locations primarily in Anhui, Tianjin, Fujian and Hubei Provinces in China. Its primary business operations are focused on the domestic market.



Unfortunately, Xinyi faces significant challenges, making it an unfavorable investment. Over the last three months, the company&rsquo;s share price has <a href="https://simplywall.st/stocks/hk/utilities/hkg-3868/xinyi-energy-holdings-shares/news/is-xinyi-energy-holdings-limiteds-hkg3868-recent-price-movem-1">plummeted by 26%,</a> signaling concerns in the market. While return on equity (ROE) is a critical measure for assessing a company&rsquo;s efficiency in utilizing capital, Xinyi Solar&rsquo;s ROE, though similar to the industry average of 10.7%, does not inspire confidence. The moderate 8.8% net income growth over the past five years, coupled with a high three-year median payout ratio of 101%, suggests the company may be paying out more to shareholders than it is generating.



The company&rsquo;s debt situation further casts doubt on its financial health. As of June 2023, Xinyi Solar Holdings carried <a href="https://simplywall.st/stocks/hk/utilities/hkg-3868/xinyi-energy-holdings-shares/news/we-think-xinyi-energy-holdings-hkg3868-is-taking-some-risk-w-1">HK$5.22 billion in debt,</a> increasing from HK$4.24 billion over the past year. While it has a cash reserve of HK$833.5 million, its net debt remains substantial at approximately HK$4.39 billion. The balance sheet reveals liabilities exceed the combination of cash and short-term receivables by HK$2.61 billion, indicating potential liquidity challenges.



<h2>Sunrun (RUN)</h2>

Sunrun (NASDAQ:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/run-stock-quote/">RUN</a>) is a San Francisco-based company specializing in residential solar, storage and energy services. The company offers end-to-end solutions, including design, installation, financing and maintenance of solar panels on homeowners&rsquo; roofs, providing services through lease and power purchase agreements. Sunrun also sells solar energy systems and related products to homeowners and resellers, featuring innovations like BrightBox solar power generation with smart inverter technology and home battery storage.



Sunrun has faced a substantial 60% year-to-date selloff, significantly underperforming the iShares Global Clean Energy ETF (NASDAQ:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/icln-stock-quote/">ICLN</a>). The company&rsquo;s struggles are attributed to concerns over its high leverage, making it highly vulnerable to a sharp decline in demand. Anticipating a growth slowdown due to NEM 3.0, a sell rating was issued in April, and since then, the stock has <a href="https://seekingalpha.com/article/4651148-sunrun-q3-earnings-stock-triple-go-zero-but-risks-downside">declined by 55%.</a> Sunrun&rsquo;s latest earnings release revealed a reduction in solar capacity growth for FY2023 due to sluggish demand, prompting a downgrade to a Strong Sell rating. The company&rsquo;s consistently reported losses, negative EBIT and a historic high of $9.5 billion in net debt raise concerns about its solvency, especially given its profitability.



In 3Q FY2023, Sunrun reported mixed earnings results, beating non-GAAP EPS estimates but facing a 10.9% year-over-year decline in total revenue. Customer additions saw a 5% year-over-year decline, marking the first negative growth in the company&rsquo;s history. Specific segments, such as Purchase Customers, experienced substantial drops, indicating a significant deceleration in demand growth. The Solar Energy Capacity Installed growth in 3Q FY2023 narrowed to just 1% year-over-year, down sharply from <a href="https://seekingalpha.com/article/4651148-sunrun-q3-earnings-stock-triple-go-zero-but-risks-downside">20% growth</a> the previous quarter. Sunrun&rsquo;s high leverage and potential solvency risks and a contraction in valuation multiples suggest caution for investors considering the stock, even with recent share price declines.
