The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, claims that Bogans was fired in January 2024 after pushing for action on reports of testing labs falsifying THC potency results and covering up product contamination, <a href="https://www.greenmarketreport.com/former-california-cannabis-regulator-sues-former-bosses-alleging-whistleblower-retaliation/">reported</a> Green Market Report.
Bogans, who was hired in December 2022 to oversee lab compliance, alleges that her superiors &#8211;DCC Director Nicole Elliott and Chief Deputy Director Rasha Salama &#8211; ignored multiple warnings from labs and industry groups about systemic issues.

After contacting the Department of Justice (DOJ) about the violations, Bogans says she was reprimanded and later excluded from key meetings.
The lawsuit also alleges that a whistleblower informed Bogans in December 2023 that Gold Mountain Distribution, co-owned by La Puente City Councilman David Argudo, was operating without proper licenses.
Bogans claims her attempts to report this were ignored, and she was terminated the following month.
The lawsuit seeks damages for whistleblower retaliation and emotional distress.

&#8220;The main issue at present is a loss of commercial power at locations in the track of the storm. Temporary generators are being deployed where possible and Enterprise is working with electric service providers to prioritize their restoration efforts,&#8221; the company said.
The hurricane weakened Thursday as it headed inland, allowing emergency crews in Lousiana to begin clearing roads while utility workers started restoring electricity, the Associated Press <a href="https://apnews.com/article/francine-tropical-storm-louisiana-gulf-coast-09879999e209ff5e043ef0e4ca7f527f">reported</a>.
At the height of the storm, 450,000 people in Louisiana were without power, according to the state&#8217;s Public Service Commission. Many outages were caused by falling debris.
Hurricane Francine dumped up to six inches of rain in parts of Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee and Georgia and up to 10 inches in some areas of Alabama and Florida.

As the presidential debate on Sept. 10 between Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris was likely the last between the two candidates, voters are turning their attention to a debate between the presidential candidates&#8217; running mates ahead of the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/2024-election">2024 presidential election.</a>

Other media networks have been fighting to get future presidential debates between the two candidates but they may be out of luck.
