Israel Gears Up For Military Strike In Rafah Despite Biden's Warning

Pebblebrook Hotel has been on a tear since November when it traded in the mid $11 range. Its total return before its first-quarter earnings report was 31.77%. Much of that was because of a strong fourth-quarter 2023 earnings report in February that easily beat the Street estimates and its year-over-year results for funds from operations (FFO) and revenue.
It wasn't surprising that on April 24, it repeated that performance with first-quarter operating results. Adjusted funds from operations (AFFO) of $0.21 per share beat the consensus estimate of $0.15 per share by 40% and walloped its FFO of $0.11 from the first quarter of 2023. Revenue of $314.069 million was ahead of the consensus estimate of $303.776 million and also topped its revenue of $305.719 million from the first quarter of 2023.
In addition, Pebblebrook announced it expects AFFO of $0.59-$0.63 per share for the second quarter of 2024. Analysts were expecting $0.56 per share.&nbsp;
Pebblebrook was up about 1% in early morning trading after the earnings release.

Additionally, on April 8, Agree Realty announced an increase in its monthly common dividend from $0.247 to $0.25, giving it a 2.9% annual raise. Revenue of $149.453 million beat the consensus estimate of $146.462 million and was an 18.03% increase from revenue of $126.618 million in the first quarter of 2023.&nbsp;
On full year 2024 AFFO, Agree said it sees $4.10-$4.13 per share. The Street's estimate was $4.07. Investors were impressed, and shares traded over 2% higher in early morning trading following the report&#8217;s release.

Two REITs That Just Crushed Earnings Estimates And Guidance

Employees at Cresco Labs Inc.'s (CSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/CL#CSE">CL</a>) (OTCQX:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/CRLBF#OTCQX">CRLBF</a>) (FSE: 6CQ), the Massachusetts-based cannabis cultivation operations voted overwhelmingly to approve their first union contract with the United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) Local 328 more than three years ago. Now, the growers, supervisors and other agricultural workers at Cresco's operations opted to reverse the process.
With their contract nearing the June expiration date, the workers decided to de-unionize, instead of negotiating another organized labor deal, according to <a href="https://mjbizdaily.com/cresco-labs-cannabis-cultivation-workers-in-massachusetts-exit-union/">documents obtained</a> by MJBizDaily.
Wyatt Brissette, an employee at the Chicago-based multi-state cannabis operator who is behind the movement, said the scheduled wage increases were not in accordance with inflation, while promised benefits were "arguably worse" than for nonunion workers.
"We felt as if (the union) didn't match what we needed," Brissette, who was supported by a majority of his co-workers said.&nbsp;"We were pretty much paying them for nothing."
He also noted that "an overwhelming number of people" were ready to "put it back into Cresco's hands."
Lindsey Dadourian, senior vice president of employee and labor relations at Cresco, praised the move.
"We are very proud that our employees in Fall River have signaled their trust in Cresco by choosing to work directly with us," Dadourian told MJBizDaily."We will continue to support our employees while also working to maintain positive and productive relationships with the local unions that continue to represent some of our employees elsewhere."

According to a recent National Labor Relations Board ruling, Curaleaf "refused and neglected" to acknowledge the union and work on a contract. The New York-based multi-state cannabis operators have appealed the ruling in the federal court.
In a letter to the company&#8217;s labor relations manager, Ryan Gonsalves, protesters warned of alleged misinformation related to the bargaining process and increase in salaries.
&#8220;The Union only asks that Curaleaf give notice of the raises and an opportunity for the Union to quickly review the proposal for any issues, such as fairness," the letter stipulates. "Of course, the Union and Curaleaf may agree to future raises through bargaining, but Curaleaf employees have gone long enough without a pay increase."

The expectation was that demand for electric vehicles (EVs) would outpace the ability of lithium producers to deliver.



The opposite occurred, and it has made life difficult for lithium producers. Albemarle specifically issued a public share offering of $1.75 billion to raise capital for constructing and expanding the company&rsquo;s lithium operations in Australia and China.&nbsp;



However, with ALB stock down more than 50% from its all-time high, this appears to be when patient investors can pick up shares while the fundamentals suggest the stock is undervalued.&nbsp;



Analysts expect Albemarle to grow earnings by 102.6% in the next 12 months. They are also becoming more bullish on ALB stock. The consensus price target of $144.74 represents a more than 15% gain. Plus, 16 of 28 analysts give the stock either a Strong Buy or Buy rating. &nbsp;



When you look at Albemarle&rsquo;s status as a dividend aristocrat with 29 consecutive years of dividend increases, you can see why ALB stock is one of the leading undervalued value stocks. &nbsp;

As you would expect, the outlook for HQI stock correlates to the outlook for jobs. The February 2024 Jobs report indicated that 275,000 jobs were created. That&rsquo;s hardly a weak labor market. However, in the report&rsquo;s details, temporary staffing jobs dropped by 15,000. This pattern has continued since March 2022, as this sector has shed over 433,000 jobs. &nbsp;



That said, the company&rsquo;s revenue for the first nine months of 2023 is slightly above the record 2022 pace. Earnings are lighter, a fact that analysts attribute to higher-than-expected workman&rsquo;s compensation claims.&nbsp;



Analysts have a price target of $23 for HQI stock, which is 83% higher than its price. And you do collect a small dividend with a yield of 1.91%. &nbsp;



<h2>Schneider National (SNDR)&nbsp;</h2>

Trucking is in a cyclical slump as businesses try to right-size inventory after unwinding supply chains in 2021 and 2022. However, Schneider has weathered the cyclical downturn better than some companies by emphasizing its Schneider Dedicated service. This allows the company to maintain pricing discipline instead of simply chasing volume.&nbsp;



That hasn&rsquo;t done much for the stock price. However, it should allow the company to come back strong as inventory demand normalizes. Analysts have a $27.09 price target for SNDL stock, and five of six analysts have granted it a Strong Buy rating. &nbsp;
