In the aftermath of Harris&#8217; recent campaign loss, Sanders pointed out what he sees as a major issue: people are struggling more than ever while the wealthy are thriving. "The <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/11/41793530/bernie-sanders-says-american-people-are-angry-and-want-change-and-theyre-right-democrats-have-abando">working people of this country are extremely angry</a>," Sanders said. "They have a right to be angry. In the richest country in the history of the world, today the people on top are doing phenomenally well while 60% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck."
Sanders was direct about income inequality. He stressed that the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/personal-finance/24/10/41193824/are-you-rich-enough-to-be-in-the-top-1-heres-both-the-income-and-net-worth-you-need-to-rank-amon">top 1% owns more wealth than the bottom 90%</a> and that the U.S. has the highest rate of childhood poverty among major countries. Additionally, one in four seniors is trying to get by on $15,000 a year or less. "Where is the Democratic Party?" Sanders asked, suggesting they're not doing enough to tackle these issues.

A major point of criticism Sanders had for the Democrats was their failure to raise the minimum wage to what he calls a <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/personal-finance/24/08/40352204/do-you-know-what-salary-it-takes-to-live-comfortably-heres-a-hint-its-much-higher-than-the-avera">living wage</a>. He explained that even though millions of people in the country work hard, <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/personal-finance/24/07/39817447/warren-buffett-says-anyone-who-works-40-hours-a-week-should-live-a-decent-life-heres-what-he-pro">they're not earning enough</a> to make ends meet. "In the Senate in the last two years, we have not even brought forth legislation to raise the minimum wage to a living wage, although some 20 million people in this country are working for less than $15 an hour," Sanders said.
Sanders also addressed Speaker Nancy Pelosi's recent pushback against his statements. But Sanders stood firm, explaining that while he respects Pelosi, he thinks it's clear that the party has to do more. "Do you think that the Democratic Party is going to the max, taking on powerful special interests and fighting for you?" The overwhelming answer to him is no, which needs to change.

The Vermont senator believes it's time for the Democratic Party to show that they are willing to stand up for ordinary Americans – not just in words, but through action. He pointed out that they haven't made much progress on issues like expanding union rights or strengthening <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/personal-finance/24/11/42217382/bernie-sanders-demands-scrap-the-cap-on-social-security-taxes-its-absurd-a-billionaire-pays-same-amount-as-middle-class-earners">Social Security</a> benefits for retirees. "People are in pain. People are hurting. They can&#8217;t afford to go to a doctor. They can&#8217;t afford to send their kids to child care or to college."
When asked how much he blames President Biden for the recent loss, Sanders gave a measured response. He acknowledged that Biden, when he came into office, promised to be the most progressive president since FDR. "On domestic issues, not foreign policy, Biden has kept his word and pushed through a strong agenda," Sanders said. But he said that it still isn&#8217;t enough to fix the big problems of unfairness in American society because, even though Biden has done some good things, the rest of the party needs to do more to help working families if they want to regain their trust.

Musk likely saw a spike in interest from people thanks to his growing influence in politics with a public endorsement of Trump and his campaigning in key swing states for the 2024 election.
The electric vehicle company ran by Musk also became a key topic in 2024 with a company event showing off the company's robotaxi ambitions and a growing battle over electric vehicle regulatory credits.

Of course, it's not all good news. A stronger dollar also means American-made products become more expensive for people in other countries. If you work in an industry that sells goods to other countries – like manufacturing, farming or tech – this could be a problem. Higher prices overseas mean fewer buyers, which can hurt company profits and lead to cutbacks or job losses.

"These resolutions strike the right balance between holding Kiromic's then-two most senior officers responsible for Kiromic's disclosure failures while also crediting Kiromic for its voluntary self-report, remediation, proactively instituting remedial measures, and providing meaningful cooperation to the staff," said Eric Werner, Director of the SEC's Fort Worth Regional Office.

Boeing Co&#8216;s (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BA#NYSE">BA</a>) head of government affairs and chief lobbyist Ziad Ojakli is reportedly leaving the planemaker.
What Happened: Ojakli will be replaced by executive Bill McSherrry on an interim basis, Reuters reported on Friday, citing a mail sent by Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg to employees. Ojakli&#8217;s departure is effective immediately, the email said. 
Ojakli became executive vice president of Government Operations at Boeing in October 2021. Prior to that, he worked with Ford and Softbank and also served as an aide to President George W. Bush.
Boeing did not immediately respond to a <a href="https://pro.benzinga.com/dashboard">Benzinga</a> request for a statement.

The transition team is reviewing how it can undo the postal service&#8217;s multiple, expensive contracts including with Ford Motor Co (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/F#NYSE">F</a>) and Oshkosh (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/OSK#NYSE">OSK</a>) for battery electric delivery trucks, the report said. Breaking the contracts would be legally challenging, Reuters noted, given the federal agency has its governing board.

Trump's Transition Team Considering Undoing USPS's Contracts With Ford, Oshkosh For Electrifying Fleet: Report

The Future Fund LLC Managing Partner and Tesla (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>) bull Gary Black said on Friday that the EV company&#8217;s earnings per share (EPS) revisions have not kept pace with the stock price surge since Donald Trump&#8217;s victory in the Presidential elections.
What Happened: &#8220;We know that $TSLA is up +51% YTD (vs NDX +28%), all of which is since the Nov election (TSLA +50% vs NDX +7%) on the belief that ally Trump can streamline TSLA's efforts to secure autonomous deployment licenses. The question is: Have TSLA Adj EPS ests increased as well? The short answer is not much,&#8221; Black said on Friday. 
Black noted that Tesla&#8217;s FY2025 adjusted EPS estimates are up by only 1.6% since the election. 
&#8220;Put differently, all of TSLA's +50% price appreciation since the election reflects P/E expansion, which on FY'25 eps ests have increased from 77x before the election to 114x today (+48%),&#8221; he said while adding that he continues to be &#8220;<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-ratings/analyst-color/24/11/41870590/tesla-remains-core-for-gary-black-despite-price-cuts-earnings-drop-nvidia-google-eli-lilly-among-top-performers-in-tech-bulls-portfolio">very bullish</a>&#8221; on the stock.

NASA on Thursday postponed its upcoming two <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/08/40599693/elon-musk-reacts-after-nasa-oig-says-launcher-for-artemis-4-mission-may-cost-2-7b-holy">Artemis missions</a>, including the one expected to land humans back on the surface of the Moon for the first time in over half a century.
What Happened: While the Artemis 2 mission is now slated for April 2026, Artemis 3 is slated for mid-2027. Previously, the agency was planning to undertake the Artemis 2 mission in Sept. 2025 and Artemis 3 in 2026.
During the Artemis 1 mission in late 2022, charred material on the heat shield wore away differently than expected during re-entry. However, unlike Artemis 1, Artemis 2 mission will have a crew on board. The delayed timeline will allow the agency to address the Orion spacecraft&#8217;s environmental control and life support systems, NASA said.
