Individuals can support the fight against breast cancer by donating a car during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This October in addition to wearing pink or participating in a local Making Strides Walk, donating an unwanted car, boat, or motorcycle to support Cars for a Cure can make a timely difference in the race for a cure.

Cars for a Cure is the official car donation program of the American Cancer Society. Cars for a Cure proudly returns more than 80% of the gross vehicle sale price to the fight against cancer. And this October, the program is aiming to bring awareness to the fight against Breast Cancer and the myriad of ways individuals can take action. Donating a vehicle is a great way to honor breast cancer victims and survivors.

In 2022:

• About 287,850 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in women.
• About 51,400 new cases of ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) will be diagnosed.
• About 43,250 women will die from breast cancer.
• The median age at the time of breast cancer diagnosis is 62.
